When Michael initially started thinking about design concepts for the Fourteenth Sonic, he decided to completely immerse himself in Doctor Who by re-watching the whole series from beginning to end, from William Hartnell through to the present day. An astonishing sixty-seven initial design sketches and concepts were then produced by Michael, to try and create a design that captured something of the essence of previous incarnations of this iconic prop, whilst remaining something fresh, new and uniquely of itself.I’m thinking of getting this but am confused about all the different sonic screwdrivers that have been released.
